Wilbert has extensive experience in investment, restructuring and turnaround management across Latin America. He began his career at Merrill Lynch, working in investment banking in New York, Hong Kong and India before becoming Director of Principal Investments, where he managed a US$450 million proprietary portfolio focused on debt and equity investments in private Latin American companies.

He later moved to Brazil and founded TCP Partners, a firm focused on managing and turning around distressed assets. Throughout his career, Wilbert has held numerous CEO, Managing Director and CRO positions across industries including food, retail, security, packaging, textiles and consumer products.

Beyond his business activities, Wilbert has a strong interest in indigenous cultures and environmental issues and founded AZLera to support social entrepreneurship in Africa and Latin America.

He graduated with honors in Mathematics and Economics from UCLA and holds a Master’s in Education from Harvard University.
